Our Work | Bespoke Furniture and Joinery Projects
Our work spans bespoke fitted furniture, freestanding pieces, kitchens and architectural joinery, designed and made in collaboration with private clients, interior designers and architects. Based in the South West, we work across Bristol, Bath the Cotswolds and further afield, creating furniture that is carefully proportioned, materially considered and quietly refined within its setting.
The Coln Bench
A large oak garden bench with a flowing steam-bent backrest that gently encircles the sitters, combining soft curves with a clear, grounded form.
The Kennet Chair
A handcrafted English oak garden chair designed for comfort, durability and long-term outdoor use.
Whyman Furniture design and makes bespoke furniture, fitted joinery and kitchens for residential interiors and outdoor spaces across Bristol, Bath and the Cotswolds. Working closely with private clients, interior designers and architects, we create made to order pieces that balance traditional craftsmanship with considered contemporary design.
Our portfolio includes bespoke fitted bedrooms, freestanding furniture, extending dining tables, custom beds and outdoor seating, as well as full room joinery schemes. Each project begins with a careful understanding of the space and architectural context, ensuring proportions, materials and detailing are resolved before making begins. We use traditional joinery methods, solid timber construction and durable finishes to produce furniture that is built to last.
Collaboration is central to our process. For trade clients in Bristol, Bath and throughout the Cotswolds, we support projects from early design development through to final installation, refining drawings, materials and construction details to ensure the finished pieces integrate seamlessly within the wider interior scheme. For private clients, we provide clear guidance throughout, helping translate ideas into practical, well-crafted bespoke furniture tailored to individual requirements.
Every piece is made to order, allowing size, configuration and finish to be adapted to suit the setting. The projects shown above reflect our approach to proportion, material honesty and thoughtful craftsmanship across a range of homes and interior styles throughout the South West.
